Television actress Sakshi Tanwar, who has comeback on small-screen by playing dutiful Priya Kapoor in Sony's Bade Achche Lagte Hain, also gained lot of accolades for her performance in her two films Bawra Mann and O Re Manwa.
The actress is on cloud nine with the success of her two films and her show which is being appreciated by the audiences.
We spoke to Sakshi Tanwar on her film success. "Yes, the two short films that I did O Re Manvaa and Bawra Mann were shown in the Film Mart section of MAMI 2011. I am very touched by the positive response the films got. As an actor, I wanted to do something challenging and different. I feel both the films gave me the chance to do so."
Her films have also gained accolades on various international film festivals. O Re Manwa won the best international narrative short at New York International Film Festival in 2009 while Bawara Mann was an official selection at La Femme International Film Festival. Mitu directed both movies. Both in these films, Sakshi played completely different characters like in O Re Manwa in which she plays the other woman and in Bawra Mann a bored wife looking for a relationship out of the marriage. Her characters were completely different to what we have seen on small screen.
It seems that Sakshi Tanwar's magic is working all around. We hope that it continues for a long time. At the ITA Award 2011 recently, Ram Kapoor and Sakshi Tanwar won the jury's choice for best actor and actress.

Sakshi Tanwar is busy shooting these days and is riding high on popularity.
However, the actress is happy to be a part of writer-director Mitu's short film Bawra Mann (The heart needs no reason) which has brought fresh laurels to both the director and the actress winning awards and accolades at various national and international festivals.
On being asked about her reason to do the film, she says, "I loved the subject and layering of characters."
Bawra Mann, one of the first short films to be shot on Red format, is about today's urban woman and the choices she makes in life.
Writer-director Mitu, who is known for her creativity in some of the popular television shows like Kahani Ghar Ghar Kii, Saath Phere and currently Pavitra Rishta and Bade Ache Lagte Hai on Indian Television is thrilled with the overwhelming response she got for her short.
"Bawra Mann is the story is of today's urban Indian Woman, who would look for options when it comes to sexual gratification if she is deprived of it in her marriage... yet her firm rooted values will prevent her from breaking her marriage... a sensitive portrayal of the new Indian Woman who will fulfill her needs but will not forget her values," says Mitu.
